solvent, lowfish, dethlab / rivoli, toronto / 19/01/08

Local electro synthpop guru Jason Amm (aka Solvent) hasn't played a Toronto show since 2005. He has still been working on music, but most of his time has been consumed by Fatherhood. Solvent is on tour with co-owned Suction Records label mate Lowfish as part of the Now We Are Dead tour. Suction Records may be dead, but Solvent and Lowfish definitely helped Toronto live and shake up a storm Saturday night. Solvent delivered his classic clean melodic gems, performed some new intense textures and surprised us with a humourous cover of Hung Up by Madonna. Taste a sample of the show here.
